I have a colleage has developed an excellent mappable ignition system
for all the older Jaguars powered by the trusty XK engine. It really does develop more power and torque with the system
A basic 4.2 on a weber manifold with throttle body fuel injection, ignition via a bosh coil pack, trigger via a crank sensor and throttle pot,I saw 225bhp at the wheels. On 8-1 pistons, standard injection s111 cams(pararbolic) and a big valve head, i have never seen these engines produce more then 150 tops , in std guise,.Just goes to show how important modern fueling and ignition systems are.[/b]
