    Master cylinder rebuild

New to the Forum just got 83 xj6 and the master cylinder leaks badly. I bought a seal kit, are there any things I should watch out for? Are there any directions available? Thank you Dean

1983 xj6-I thought I bought the right kit, but it is to small. Back to research to get the correct one and see if I can return the wrong one (BrakeMaster Cylinder Rebuild Kit - GR-SP2484). Any ideas?

Personally I'm not favourable of rebuilding the master cylinder. For LHD cars a new one is around 80 GBP on Britishparts.co.uk
The service kit can be found in this link:

Rigajag thank you. I think I will go for a
all ready built master cylinder. Everyone is against the kits, especially if you don't have a hone.

Got my master cylinder. It was set up for remote reservoir. I don't want to reuse the seals that allow the reservoir to be directly attached, but will until I can find the replacements. Anyone have leads on the two seals (two different inside dia) for mounting the master cylinder to the reservoir? Thank you in advance. Dean
