    install floor pans best way

hi every one I'm looking at welsh for floor pans and I'm not sure if I should buy the foot well panels or the hole pan? The way I see it is that I will be able to weld to the frame if I use the small foot well panel instead of getting the full right quarter this way I can mig in the small panel and fill in the rest with sheet metal stock or do I get the full R H half panel? In this scenario you cant weld to the frame with out having to do Plunge welding and there no way you can spot weld, They don't make the jaws long enough for the span and width to do the job. There has to be a welder out there who has had the pleasure of this task. Thanks.

I have seen the small panels installed many years ago when E Types were fetching sensible money , the trouble is
that its easily spotted and its always struck me as being only half a job .
Some great Pictures on this link as many of us probably haven't seen an E Type Floor
