    Intro

    Dear All,

I have just joined the Jag club following purchase of my first XF 2.0D Prestige (65 Reg). Mostly sucked into this due to its high reported mileage. But two days in and having driven about 100 miles it is returning a meagre 28 mpg (on trip computer) on Eco mode mostly with 50-50 motorway miles. The car has 34K on the clock. I am getting worried 😟

Hello & welcome. Doesn’t sound right at all, if you bought from a dealer I would take it back for them to look at. I know it may sound daft, but are you looking at the right MPG readout, on mine there is A, B, & Auto, the latter is just consumption on each trip, not per tank.

    Thanks idrobbo,
unfortunately i bought it from Cargiant so obviously I can't take it back.
i thought of something similar that i might be looking at instant mpg but if that was the case the range shouldn't have showed 150 miles with quarter tank of fuel left. I would have expected more for this particular model. One more thing that i noticed was that auto stop doesn't seem to be kicking in even when i was stationary in traffic
