    new to the X-Type

    Morning all,

This weekend I took the plunge and purchased an 2003 X-type sport... I was in need of a daily runner that was relatively cheap and cheerful( also had recently had the auto box and transfer box replaced) while I break/scrap or save my P38.

first impressions of the car have been good but...

I was dissapointed that the electric seats only move backwards/forwards manaully (I am that lazy I guess)
The stero controls feel like they are a million miles away

But I have already been hit by a couple of issues... This morning I had a dead battery after not using the car for one day (expecting where I bought the car to replace the battery as the car had sat for over a month and I'm just trying to convince myself that there is no suspect battery drain)
Also the screen wash motor appears to be dead, when I pull the stalk in the car the wipers move but there is absolutely nothing coming from the motor no noise nothing.

bar the little niggles (and what is to come) its been fun so far.

    Pictures to follow...

Hello and welcome to the X-Type fraternity.

The washers work by pushing a button on the end of the stalk. Pulling the stalk will only operate the wipers.
