Once the IDS has connected to the car & made it's scans & asked it's questions, you should be presented with the screen showing the overview of modules fitted to the car (which by the sound of things you see); CAN_HS_NVOCJ, then ISO, SCP, MOST, etc...
Down the bottom of the screen you should see buttons for;
If you go into Diagnosis the SDD will make another scan then bring you to a series of dropdown tables, where you can select the "symptom" for example say you want to re-flash your Airbag module, then work your way down through the possible symptoms, and go from there.
Service Functions is pretty limited, just general stuff, if you want to do something specific you have to go in via Diagnosis.
Forget about the Golden Key, that is the Engineering Mode which as you can see is password protected.
In fact every time you connect to a car a new password is generated from the "seed".
When you have a Topix Programming subscription, you call up SPX, give them the VIN & the Seed, and they tell you the new password.
Apparently all the good (and potentially illegal) stuff is there in the Engineering Mode, hence the extra protection.
TBH i've only connected up to the X-Type once, and that was just to see if it connected, i didn't change any settings or flash any modules, and didn't take any screenshots either, frankly the X-Type was fine, behaving itself and didn't need anything done to it....the XJR on the other hand....
You might have also read in that thread that my Mongoose died, and was sent back to China for repair/replace....
I find it very interesting that you have "JLR129 License Software" but are running DVD130
The legit credentials for DVD129 will not activate DVD130, so I suspect your software has been activated in a different way, perhaps this is the reason for your limitations?
I did hear that some hacked versions had bugs & communication problems...but I don't know first hand, my activation was legit not hacked software.
