With those miles I would haggle hard and wan`t £500 off if there is no service history. If you start clocking up the miles your be over 200k miles in a few years, yes the engine may be capable but what about the rest of the running gear.
If it was me I would go for one a year or so older that has just over 100k miles (cars drop in value after this mileage) that has been well cared for with a service history if possable, as there is lots of them to choose from.

I am still available should anyone want to have another helping them to inspect a potential Jaguar example to buy, all I ask is if they could collect and return me in one piece. I am no expert but have a good idea what to look for and now have owner experience with the X Type, XJ (X350) and the XK (X150) in addition to this my father was a BMC motor mechanic who also worked on Jags until he retired 30 odd years ago (now aged 97) so I have a reasonable knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics.
When ever I am on the hunt for another car I regretfully always go on my own as I have no friends with interest in cars but would be a huge advantage to invite someone along with me as they can spot things you can miss and can save you money to get a better deal.
I live in the Norhamptonshire NN6 area should anyone wish to take me up on this offer on the forum.
I have owned 35 cars in my time which range from a Mini, 2CV,l Land Rover etc. to a Jaguar XJ a Porsche and many Mercedes. My current car is a 2007 Jaguar XK which is my third Jag and also have a 2009 Mitsubishi Colt as a little run around.

Ok, so I have been looking at the various options I want for the X Type AWD estate I want as my introduction the the Jaguar marque. After trawling various sources I have found one that I really like the look of and here's where the big ask come in (admin/s if this is not appropriate or permitted please remove). The car is 147 miles from my home address so I am wondering if anyone is willing or able to do a initial once over to see if the blurb matches the vehicle, if it i as clean as it appears and anything else that another more experienced Jag owner would know/expect or be able to dentify etc. If it is all good on the surface I'll put a deposit down and haul ass up there and give it a test drive and inspection amd hopefully get my first Jaguar!

Obviously I won't hold anyone liable for anything as it's just to save me wasting a long journey up for something that falls far below what is advertised.

If you do go and it's a bargain please don't buy and then tell how wonderful it is

    Thanks forr your time

    Here are the details:

    Redbank Motors

Mitsubishi Delica Space Gear (Supper Exceed) 2.8 TD, Mitsubishi L200 2.5 TD, '15 plate Kia Sorrento, 110 Hardtop

Due to the amount of work, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off

Too far for me to have a look but it does look good in a lovely colour. If it was me I would me I would take a chance and have a look yourself or your miss it.

Hi Reggiie-Rock. I agree wich is why it's such an appealing car. I'm just going to have to see how to juggle my current work and amily commitments.

    Thanks

Worth having a physical viewing if it looks good. At least you will have a better idea if it is as good as you hope and know it is one to avoid if not.

Additional one for the X type road trip

Now also have another one to look at when I go for a look for my X type AWD estate...only thing is I'm not a great lover of silver cars (waits for hate mail)..
What do you think. Hoping it'll be the one I like as soon as I sit in it to save the extra bit of the trip :
