Serpertine/Air Con Drive Belt keeps snapping

Hi there, hope you can help me.

I've a problem whereby the Serpertine/Air Con Drive Belt keeps snapping after around 3 months. I keep replacing it but it keeps happening.

Last time I replaced it, I did hear some squeaking later on, so got it tightened. However it's snapped again today. The belt itself is from Continental, part number 5PK975.

Does anyone have any ideas on this? I've a 1996 3.2 model.

    Thank you.

This is just a guess...but I'd say the bearings in the AC clutch are worn out...which causes it to have resistance....eventually the clutch will lock up.
