BBC to end its F1 coverage

BBC contract to cover F1 until 2021 is to be ended three years early. I may not bother renewing my TV licence.

I always record it to avoid some of the sycophantic drivel and the boring bits of the racing (rather a lot of that at the moment with these silly Prius derived engines), so doing it to avoid ads is no hardship

They should stop the endless repeats, cooking programmes, reality shows and all the other tripe we are paying a fortune for and leave F1 alone.

Channel 4 have stated that there will be NO advert breaks at all during the actual race. Hopefully some of the f1 lot from BBC switch across as Eddie Jordan has quite a lot of insider knowledge.

No more F1 on BBC, going to Channel 4

    Just saw this: http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2015/12/2...mula+1+Blog%29

BBC has pulled the plug on it's F1 coverage to save money and Channel 4 has stepped in to keep it free to air.
Personally I prefer the Sky F1 coverage as I think Martin Brundel is a good commentator and very insightful, don't care for the rest of them much.

I know a lot of people will complain F1 is boring and not a patch on it's heyday but I still enjoy it and have done since the 80's. I hope CH4 do a better job than BBC did as they really did slack off a bit and seemed to do it on a shoe string budget.
