The sale has ended.
Anyway, never, ever, buy a car sight-unseen, and especially any up-market luxury car that is many years old.
funny you should say it sold cos he just contacted me saying the buyer had pulled out and that I could have it, I decided (and reading your comment) to leave it, thanks.

You never know, someone may know of a good one up for sale.
How much have you to spend on the car?
Which model floats your boat?
How much have you in contingency to get it to just as you want it, through an MOT, etc, etc?

All other aspects to be considered, I would have thought the seller would have at least cleaned it before trying to sell it.
It looked like a barn yard find and I was expecting to see chickens under the hood.
Wouldn't touch something like that if you paid me. There are plenty of 1996/7 X300s for sale at very good prices. They are bullet proof and will be classics. Best car Jaguar ever made.
