I think the Capri probably came first and the S-Type and X-Type were just Fords, weren't they

Well if the truth be known they have been pretty s**t over the years , though probably closest to their best when powered by Engines
    sourced from Ford

New ingenium petrols are pretty good, much better than the Ford unit that they replaced. More powerful, efficient, economical and have better emissions and torque too.

The new ingenium straight 6 engine should replace the 3.0d PSA diesel and the V6 S/C petrol in one go.
    Current Car:
    2017 XE R-Sport 25t 250Ps 18MY.

    2004 X-Type 3.0L AWD SE Auto estate.

I'm very impressed by the 250T Ingenium in my XF. First 4 I’ve had for a while but it’s very smooth, very flexible and so far quite economical.

I have a 2.0 Ford Duratec engine. Not as powerful, nowhere near as smooth, much noisier. But then that’s in a Caterham......

Hello, chas379, I had only 3 cars before buying the Jaguar XE Portfolio diesel 180 hp automatic in summer 2017. I am 48 year-old and I am very glad with this car.
I use to maintain the cars for long time because I am very careful in the use of the cars. Careful, but this include driving the cars sometimes at high speeds, although it is necessary to be very careful with the radars and police here in Spain.
I like so much my Jaguar XE that I hope to own it for the rest of my life, even if in the future I buy some new car.
