    Originality help required

This should be easy.... if you know the answer.

    I am restoring an e-type shell for a 1965 4.2litre FHC E-type.
(It's an early one, chassis No 220)

Should the body panel above the rear suspension have the cut outs?

M.Robey seems to indicate 3.8 has cutouts, 4.2 does not.
I'm just trying to find out if that is correct, and ideally when it changed.

    Thank you in advance.

I've got the book, maybe I missed it, but couldn't find that piece of information in it.
I also emailed M.Robey to see if they knew any more, after all they do make 'new' shells, no reply as yet.
If anyone on the forum has a 1965 FHC e-type, I would be interested in their view with chassis number?
Anyone know of a list of cars/with owners email addresses? ... just a thought?

Is there anyone on this forum with a 1965 E-type?
