    Hi bladevane
I have a 2006 s type 2.7 diesel with a uk drivers side egr valve problem...
I've been searching all over for a guide to removal and replacement but nothing , the space in which to work in the engine bay is about 2" !
It was sticking open and I managed to free it up with carb cleaner and wd40 , its had a can of egr cleaner in the inlet
As per instructions , but still get 'rp' light come up , either straight away or after a while, done the disconnect battery for an hour as well.
Can you blank the egr's ?
If you can offer any pointers it would be appreciated
    Colin

Hi my names Jimmy and another member (Stacker) pointed me in your direction to see if you could help me with my ongoing problem.
I have an x type 2.0d that cuts out when it gets hot and wont restart again. It shows no codes and is getting 3500psi fuel pressure at the fuel rail at cranking speed but it seems like something is telling the injecters not to fire. When it does run the fans kick in at 225deg and shut off around 190deg which seems quite high to me so i'm begining to suspect a failing cooling fan module although i haven't ruled out fuel pump failure either.
I was wondering if you coul possibly comecand plug your mongoose in and give it a quick once over before i spend a large amount of unneccessary money.
I dont expect you to do it for nothing and i'm willing to pay for your time etc.

    Regards, Jimmy (mrjimbo)
