If that is a recall situation JLR usually do it FOC. Check TOPIX for recalls on your car. If you are not familiar with TOPIX, register as an independant and follow the instructions.

You can use a charger up to 5 Amps. I would sugest a CTek charger as these are more suited to AGM batteries fitted to the XE. Initially I used a standard charger on mine but set for a low rate. CTek chargers are more expensive but the way they charge is far superior to a basic charger.
