    My X358 & Work done

Here's my XJ X358 2.7 Tdvi Sovereign LWB ( pics at the showroom as bought )

Car has been Terracleaned recently too.

At Mackies Transmissions and had the Transmission serviced....

Had the wheels off today and cleaned the hubs and calipers, then repainted them.
Went for stock silver on the hubs and gloss black on the calipers.
Took the opportunity to clean the wheels inside n out whilst I was at it....

Took the car into Prestige Jaguar Prestige Jaguar for the front suspension to be done.
They were doing the Banana arm bushes and the front shocker bushes.

Ian and Dougie are awesome guys, with a great setup.....Its a really warm friendly environment, the do a great job and prices are very reasonable too....all good!
I'd been having a few issues with a "steering wheel wobble" usually when braking, and had thoughts of warped discs, buckled alloys, out of round tyres etc, but decided at 63k to get the suspension re done, as it was showing signs of wear.

They had real difficulty with two bolts, one of which I tried to move with a breaker bar late last night.
I'm 6'3" and built, that sucker was going nowhere, the bar was going to break first, so they had to be drilled out and new bolts inserted to complete the job. This meant the car was left there overnight, but I got it back first thing this morning.

The wobbly steering is cured, absolute dream to drive now, so pleased and soaks up the bumps even more so now.
I can't thank Ian and Dougie enough and highly recommend them for anyone in the Central belt of Scotland for any work needing done on their Jag.

Had my car in at The Jag Specialist in Doncaster for the following work......

    Rear wishbone bushes replaced.......
    Rear shocker bushes replaced........
Cat flexi pipe repair passenger side repaired....
Bonnet switch bypassed ( bonnet open messages and car alarm sounding randomly ).....
New rear brake pads supplied / installed

The car was then tracked straight and true, all good.
She ran like a champ all the way home, actually seemed slightly more power, better economy and most importantly no diesel fumes in the cabin.......well pleased.
Saw nearly 40mpg on the way home as an average, and that was with some fairly long term spirited sessions too, and around 700 miles out of the tank.
Thank you to Chris and Craig at The Jag Specialist

Not the best of days but dry ( at least for a while ) and as long as my son was washing his I thought I'd give mine the once over.
Just a quick wash n dry and a good chance for a photo opportunity with the new plates etc

    engine cover painted....

    These exhaust finishers added....

Probably more I'm forgetting but that'll do for now........

You have a lovely car there, Jim - superb! I see the problem (black Jags) runs in the family - it must be genetic.

Probably more I'm forgetting but that'll do for now........ .....EDIT>>>>

Car had a health check and although recently serviced ( 500 miles or so before I bought it )

I decided to do an engine oil / filter change....only to halfway on the dipstick of course...

I also renewed the air filter, pollen filter and fuel filter while I was at it

These were added to the tyre setup ....

Really is a lovely looking car Jim - did it need all the bushes doing or was it preemptive?

An absolute stunner is a hackneyed phrase but fully applicable here. Well done JimC64.
