    European Breakdown Insurance.

Hi, can anyone recommend a company that specialises in breakdown cover for a thirteen year old S Type as I am off to South West France in three weeks time.
I have researched on the net but quite a lot won't cover if the car is over Ten years old, and if they do then they cane you a lot.

    Many thanks Pat.

Have a look at the ADAC. They will cover you.
I don't know how you join but you can ask "Ounce" on the forum as he joined from Britain.

Driver Guardian covered mine (15 yrs old) for around £80.

I eventually cancelled having spent a fortune on improvements which made the car far more reliable.

ADAC was recommended to me when I was researching for my trip to Bavaria this year. But I got the impression when reading their site that ADAC will no longer provide cover if you live outside of Germany (or at least if you live in UK).

In the end, I went with my normal breakdown provider; the AA. I got a discounted rate as a membership benefit. My car is just about 16 years old now.
