    drivers door handle decided to stay out

    Hi sorry if this has been asked about before my drivers door handle decided to stay out when I lock the car this as just started to happen. some times it works and not other times is there any think I can do to stop it or is it another small issue

    perhaps it just needs a little oil, not wd40 though as it dries and gets sticky

    if I have to take the door card off does any one know of a U tube or any think to show how to remover it

    Thanks for that but it still won’t go in when i lock the car is the a diagram or some think showing how to remove the door panel to get access to the door handle as i can’t find any

    In theory it should be fairly easy although I haven't done it yet, but I did it several times on my XFS and XFR so it should be very similar, here are the instructions from the Workshop Manual:

    As with most door cards the easiest/best way to pop the clips out around the bottom and sides is with a trim removal tool, then (or beforehand) undo the various screws and bolts that hold some fixings on, and pull the whole thing up to release the clips across the top. You usually have to tug it upwards fairly hard to release those clips. Obviously best done with the window fully down, and don't forget to unclip the wiring plugs and reconnect them later!

    this is the door switch that the garage replaced now the door handle goes in and out again
