If anyone sees a set of Autobiography wheels brand new with new tyres for sub £2k let me know and I'll smash the piggy bank!!

These are on eBay, I don't think you will find a brand new set with tyres for 2k.

You'll have to look Nick, but never say never

As Steve has just shown you a good set fully refurbished can be had for £1500, add £700 for tyres and that's £2200 so not far off.

It's unfortunate in a way that as XJ owners there's few places to go, in terms of having 20" alloys

What I mean is, as an X type owner also I've just recently experienced this. If you have 16" or 17" wheels you can get them quite easily of choose to trade UP to 17" or 18" etc etc. I literally just bought a set of E pace wheels in 17" variant for my sons X type ( he wanted a change )

The wheels new from Jaguar were £1600 ( wheels only ) and someone had just bought an E pace and wanted to trade up to 18" or 19" etc. The wheels had travelled 19 miles or so and were as new as could be
Cost was £250 and by the time the existing set were sold for £120 meant that the new set cost £130 ALL IN

Sometimes there's actually crazy deals at the dealers of all places, new alloys with tyres for silly money. Someone buys X car with the 17" wheels but wants the 19" wheels and trades up at the point of buying, with the dealer giving him basic money for the smaller std wheels ands then left with them to sell.

This happened to me with my Audi A6, I had 17" wheels which were ok, but I really wanted the 19" RS4 alloys. Someone who bought the next model up had these on their car and didn't like them, traded up and the dealer had them in stock for ages, brand new!
New from the dealer with tyres would have been around £2800, I got them for £520 all in

Well, been a reasonably quiet day...

As we're away tomorrow I managed to get the car prepped, wheels done throughout, snow foam wash and microfibre dry, tyres blacked and windows cleaned inside n out.

Looking her best ready for an early start.

Not an early start as such, probably around 8am should see us there for 12.30 - 1.00pm

Just off to get packed, cool bag ready with ice cold drinks for the journey etc and more. The sun was shining AGAIN today, that's three times this year, we're getting spoilt lol.

Off to Crewe Hall for Tress's 51st, a weekend of pampering, massage's, hot n cold running service 24/7 which I'm sure she'll make the most of.

Younger brother coming over Friday night with g/f for dinner and a few drinks, they're quite local, so could get messy, easy day Saturday ( basically wash , rinse , repeat but with brother ) and then off to visit sister in Stoke on Sunday before heading home.

Hope everybody has a great weekend

How so clean. Mine looks minging following its trip to your neck of the woods. Looks like Colin McRae borrowed it.

Sounds like a great weekend lined up Jim, can't fault it.

Just be wary about asking for any extras in those massage suites, it's not like the other establishments

Don't be silly, he isn't paying for massages; he is just sitting with Tress in the back of the XJ and turning the seats on!
