The change up points are pretty good when floored in normal Auto, but sport or manual mode is needed for downshifts when feeling spirited.

I reckon that makes JimC64's MPG in that pic around 40mpg....
The boy, I'm not so sure!
I'm not saying its the best but perhaps not the worst either, do the maths yourself.

The trip said I finished on 46.9 mpg
My manual calculations 77 litre tank ( 16.937 UK gallons ) having travelled 755.6 miles, divide 755.6 by 16.937 equals 44.6 mpg
By my reckoning its off by around a little over 5% at worst and have seen this now several times.

I use a spreadsheet to track my fuel usage, it never occurred to me that there would. be an app for it (let alone several different apps for it)
    Mac, really??
You'll be telling me next you haven't read the manual either?
Do you have no curiosity at all? Press those buttons and have a play and report back please....

There's a nice noticeable difference for sure, a little more urgency...

I was out and about earlier, and thought about this a little more as I found the receipt for fuel from the other day...

    The trip says 46.9mpg achieved
My 44.6mpg manual calculation was based on a full tank, NOT fuel used, see below.....

Fuel used was actually 73.74 litres = 16.22 UK gallons, 755.6 miles travelled divided by 16.22 gallons used = 46.58mpg, very close to the 46.9mpg as indicated by the trip computer

That's pretty damn accurate from where I'm standing

It REALLY was time for a quick going over of the X351, she'd sat there dirty, hardly having moved pretty much since I came back from Aldershot several days ago and badly needed cleaned.

A short while later she was all ok again and looking much better, normality had returned

Generally a grey wet and cold day and with only a week to go until the clocks go back, Autumn / Winter is showing it's hand, that said I'll be busy enough it seems, back to decorating for me, utility room, back hall and kitchen this time
I reckon 3 or 4 coats probably on the ceiling and walls ( already 2 coats in on the ceiling ) then the guys will come to do the kitchen cabinets and lay the new floor, we may even get to give the dining room a quick going over before we're half way through November I'm told...oh joy of joys!!

The only upside is that once that's done it really only leaves the living room and front hall area and then ITS ALL DONE

It's my granddaughters 5th birthday celebrations tomorrow ( which will eat up the whole day I'm sure lol ) I only have today to get the X type checked and ready for it's M.o.t first thing Monday morning
Think nice thoughts for Monday please...

If you are anything like me Jim which it sounds as though you are, bet it was bugging you the car being dirty for a few days! I’ve still got to finish off our living room/dining room I started a couple of weeks back, a job for next weekend now as we’ve been away all this week as the kids are off for October break.

Hope the grand daughters birthday goes well, same age as my youngest, you’ll either need earplugs, some paracetamol or large drink afterwards!

    Cheers

    As for tomorrow?
I think I'll go with all 3, maybe just not all at the same time

So how would you cope with mine, still with 10 week old Scottish dirt and flies all over it...

...that said, I bet its done less than 1000 miles in that time, as it just seems to sit unused, abnadonned, unloved on the drive.

    I wouldn't, that's the thing

We're obviously just different in that regard, but different is ok
