JJ I have a old tin with a few nuts & bolts in it you should be able to entertain your self for hours shaking it as a substitute for that lovey diesel sound track when you have to go electric

Unless your offering me an EE507 motor in my electric, I think I will stick to my diesel for now!
Youve got a long way to go until electric matches fossil fuels.

I am with junglejames, the government know nothing about cars and jump at any excuse to raise taxes. Why should "green cars" pay no tax when they are still helping to damage the roads. This is complete nonsense, what tax are they going to invent when all cars are electric? According to JLR the new diesel engines that they have spent millions developing are cleaner than some of their petrol engines. At a time when trade with the non EU world needs to be encouraged and our car industry protected , the idiots we have for leaders prefer to concentrate on scoring political brownie points to gain future votes.
