Thread: HELP before i send it to hell - xtype 2.0d

    nothings working seriously thinking about sacking it off, absolute piss take what a stupid build.

    It's out here's how i did it, there was no other way, i had to go a little bit deeper into the footwell to get a clear view of the square like cage the bolt was kept in and used a combination of a chisel and drill and bent the cage out of the way using mini mole grips.

    as you can see from the 2nd pic the square plate is welded to the nut so its absolutely impossible to break the welds on this in such a tight space.

    now i need to get a new nut i may try one from the diy place see if they have one rather than wait a few days as i need the car really.

    Are you going to be able to weld the new nut in place?
    I just saw an Audi driver using his indicators correctly on the motorway. Twice. Should I report the vehicle as stolen?

    okay was just going to suggest that you might want to, other wise you'll have to leave the hole in the floor incase you need to undo it again.

    Don't think it makes any difference personally, i'm going to fit a small plate there at some point to cover the hole with 2 small screws or something, but job done.

    I've double nutted it.
