I think the simplest answer is just to show them the faults and ask them to rectify them. How they do it is up to them, but it's an essential first stage if it goes legal. The supplier has to be given a chance to put things right. Take lots of photos for the records.

    Update.
I took the car to two high end car body work specialist and both said it’s a very poor job. Pointing out the darker shade that I hadn’t picked up on.
Each defect is now marked up ready to take back to garage.

FWIW I had a full respray this year, the supercharger vents look brilliant, they had no problems with painting and polishing the clear coat on them. Also got a lifetime warranty on workmanship from the company that did it.

Car went back today. Drove in with car covered in marker pen and a fault list. The proprietor just agreed to everything and will be rectifying defects. Wasn't expecting to leave it there today, so hopefully it be resolved to my full satisfaction soon.

Yes, fingers crossed for you: I am sure it will be fine this time, though what happened last time does leave a niggling doubt....

    Don’t want hyjack
Had a quote from respected body shop to have both rear quarters with blending to door and rear bumper £580 plus vat
car is not mint or a show car so I know i could pay more and pay less I know body shop is ok as been there 20 years with good reviews .
is there anything in particular I should ask they have worked with aluminium before so I have faith but just wondered if I should be asking something?

    Update on my respray.
I collected the car Thursday evening after them having the car for two weeks. She looks so much better than before. All the bonnet, nose, wings and doors blended in nicely.
Although there are a lot of polishing marks everywhere and some orange peel on top of the door edges around the window chrome & mirror areas.

I have had a quote of £595 to do a complete paint rectification to bring it up to my standard by one the top detailers. So not sure whether to return yet again or just except this as their normal quality of work and get it detailed correctly.

A competent body shop with a good reputation should not be allowing workmanship like that to leave the shop. Why should you have to pay someone else to correct their work.

On the other hand, would you be happy at taking it back again.

The choice, as they say, is yours.
