XFR Carbon Fibre Bonnet Vents Faded / Overheated

    Hey everyone, new here!

Proud owner of a 2011 XFR (purchased few months ago), car is mint except for the carbon fibre bonnet vents which are badly faded / oxidised... looks like they have suffered with the immense heat from the engine.

Have any of you had the same issue or attempted restoration?

I don't fancy buying new vents at £450 each!!

    Thanks in advance.

You if they are real carbon fiber then it's the resin that will have gone flat. Check by wetting the surface and if it goes a dark gloss then it is easily fixed by either compounding and polishing the resin finish back to a good gloss; or as they are a complex shape to polish easily It might be simpler to have them sprayed with a good quality two pack clear laquer. A lot cheaper than replacement.
