As the system has just been approved for Apple Car Play and Google (its in the media)......I would expect this to be part of the next software drop.

Presumably there’ll be an extra charge for Apple CarPlay so it won’t airomatically be in an upgrade.

I have just had my 2017 F-Pace ICTP updated to version 4.5 and it is awesome! Apple CarPlay works straight on connection. The Jaguar functions are more streamlined, much faster and look much better. At last I think we have the Infotainment system we have all deserved for a long time! I went through Jaguar Customer Service who were extremely helpful and from the start determined to put things right. Unfortunately the dealer seemed very reluctant to do the work blaming Jaguar for not allowing an upgrade to the latest level (sorry sir, Jaguar only allow us to upgrade to the next level'. Jaguar response: 'Nonsense - no-one in their right mind would encourage an upgrade to a obsolete software level! We always say 'upgrade to latest level'). But hey-ho, the dealers always seem to want to shortcut things in an effort to make money. On this occasion though they had to have my car in twice, provide a decent replacement and collect deliver from 100 miles away! Needless to say I'll need some days with the new software but I have already used voice control for navigation, sent a WhatsApp message by voice, and streamed music through Amazon Prime. Brilliant!

I also have the latest version with Apple CarPlay works superb, very fast to load and navigate through. Using google maps and being able to send SMS via voice is a great move.

Hi Ian. Can you tell me how long the update takes? My car’s going in for its first service 3/12 and I’ve asked for it to be done.
