    Alonso quits F1 at the end of 2018

    Double world champion, Fernando Alonso has quit F1 to end a 17 year career.

    Not really surprising as he has just not had the car to match his abilities since he joined Mclaren. It seems that for quite a lot of his career he has been in uncompetitive cars which is a shame given his skills as an F1 driver.

    What a way to bow out of F1, all three world champions Vettel, Hamilton and Alonso (x11 between them) performing donuts on the start/finish line was great. Even the cool down lap with all 3 side by side parading round was great to see, F1 without these 3 drivers won’t be the same.
