    Without knowing what the issue is, my posts feel more like I am defacing this showthread, rather than adding to it.

    But the suspense it to much to bear.... I have to venture another hypothesis.

    Perhaps there are actually two threads in parallel dimensions, and they have somehow swapped over - which would then explain why this one has become so confusing?

    Then... perhaps 'Theboy' has been dragged to the other dimension with his original showthread, which is why he is not hear to explain the issue....

    Wheel is not repairable, according to my friendly refurber who inspected it earlier. New one is £650, or £540 with a bit of arm twisting with the dealer. Still too much, so looking around the breakers.

    Annoyingly, they have repaired more deformed wheels I've presented them with in the past, bit its the location and size of the crack. Ironically, its still airtight, which I've never had before with wheels with this sort of damage.

    ... so you can keep the current tyre and save £200. Jammy git.
