    Hi Santer,

The scratches are on the console next to the EBrake (on the right). I think this is a plastic section....

Was going to link to drcolourchips because it looks the simplest but the video on youtube wasn't impressive

Is the console marking on the bits above the parking brake and dsc button, if so, would guess it would need to be replaced

Maybe ask a dealer if there is a diagram of the individual parts

Otherwise you could ask about hydrographics

Second hand ones will probably be similar to what you already have

Ideally you'd replace the silver trim panel but I'd be amazed if Jaguar sell them and a whole new unit would be prohibitively expensive. Possibly get hold of a failed (but better condition) unit off eBay or a breaker and swap the panels over but again, I have no idea how that is done. I did remove and strip the switch panel (radio/heater button panel) which was a 3 spanner job in Haynes speak so doable but not simple.
To be honest I think on that, I'd get the professionals in. I'd imagine it is repairable though given the buttons etc it's going to be a fiddly job.
Have a look at this for examples of what's possible http://www.trimtechnique.co.uk/index...lastic-repair/

I've got the correct colour code now - LMO (Vapour Grey). Chipex looks like a good price at 40 quid for the big kit.
I'll do a bit more research into either getting a new console section or repairing the plastic.
jberks, that site is not working...

Thanks very much for all your help everyone! Migrating from the X-Type forum has not been so bad after all......

Yes, vapour grey, same as mine. One of the best colours for the XF imo - contrasts brilliantly with the chrome and silver of the trim.
Chipex doesn’t need the code, they get it from your reg number.
