    Hi Woody,
You should have popped over the road to www.bosworthmarina.co.uk for a cuppa. Everyone here knows me.

The Rolls Royce breakers, Flying Spares have over 30 RR's around their yard for breaking. Some are old rust buckets too.
Charles Rolls and Henry Royce must would be turning over in their graves if they could see them.

No idea where you're coming from with the "won't be using Mackies!" comments though Alec
Out of the times I've been there, the dozens and dozens of people I have recommended and who have used them, you are the only one I've heard any negatives from, ever!

Oh well, can't please everyone I suppose

I know you have used them a few times and been pleased Jim, great

I am going by my previous experience a few years ago, where I was slightly miffed at the extra £100 charge applied for the electronic sleave replacement when it came to paying the bill. I gave the guys my number and instructed him to inform me of any issues, ect on top of the standard price- never was told. I believe they did not reflash the gearbox either and the car drove with no improvement to before the work was carried out, contary to others experiences on the forum.

I have asked Chris how much he would have charged for the same job, electronic sleave replaced and reflash all included, the same as the 'base price' I was quoted from Mackies if I recall correctly.

I have no doubt the guys know their stuff, as demonstrated in the (excellent) tour you organised. Maybe I was unlucky, who knows?

I hope I don't come across as a moaner, generally I will sing the praises of companies who do a good job for me, hence the glowing recomendation for Chris.

Not at all Alec, sounds like a miss communication issue on their part, unusual but not unheard of I suppose, sorry to hear.

Anyone going to Mackies, be sure to ask for a tour (if interested) and I'm sure they'll oblige a whistle stop tour of the factory and processes involved, kinda mind blowing, or was for me at least.

Can't fault Chris, he's a bit of a legend in his own lunchtime now, really knows his onions and fair too
