    Surely not in the XJ?
I bet my bottom dollar it's another form of transport, maybe the RR?

Lol, it was only the box from the compressor. Bloomin nearly 30 minutes I waited to just get in! The Range Rover was well used yesterday to lug edging/border fencing and bark for the back garden.

Parking an XJ in one of our local tip ("Household Waste Recycling Centre", if you please!) parking spaces would be a hoot.

I'm just trying to work out how much fuel I'd use edging a Jaguar V8 slowly forward in the typical 1.5 hour queue for our local recycling centre. I think it may be cheaper to pay the fine for fly-tipping.

Please note the foregoing paragraph does not constitute financial or legal advice. Other recycling centre may be available. Always check the label before washing.

To be honest the biggest reason for not taking mine is that so much more stuff fits in the Mondeo.

... and the local tip has a strange arrangement where you drive in and round a tiny circle to get to the parking - I'm really not sure I could get the XJ round it!

The few times I’ve taken the XJ, been nice comments from the lads at the recycling centre. The Range Rover is the ultimate lugger of stuff though, so usually gets the nod.

Ours is not dissimilar, but probably not as tight as yours by sounds of it, as it will swing around the far end in one go

The car is in at Prestige tomorrow for a service and MOT, I’ve got an early start planned hoping to leave base about 6:15 and beat the worst of the traffic through Glasgow, then the train back here to Livingston. Fingers crossed I can pick up later in the afternoon, train back again to pick her up with kids in tow.

It’s been a crazy week so far, we’ve put a offer in on a new house which was accepted subject to sale of ours. So it’s going to be a very busy getting some touch up jobs done, getting the house on the market and then will be on tender hooks until our place sells...

I don’t want to get my hopes up too much, but it ticks a lot of boxes, more space, extra bedrooms, lots more entertaining space, more outside space, private garden and the best bit, a double garage! Mrs G already worried she will never see me

Will update tomorrow on the MOT, I’ve not been too lucky the last few years...

Sounds like a lot of boxes ticked there!
Good luck with the house, and I hope you get to have a nice waft with the occasional V8 growl to/fro Prestige.

Will be thinking of you doing that while I'm at my usual grindstone earning an honest crust...
