    Wiper Blades !!!!!

Hello again, can you experienced Forum members please advise me what are the 'best' (no judder, no smear, no noise) replacement wiper blades, this will be my third set this year, I bought a set of cheapish Bosch (copies) wipers of E-Bay - rubbish, I then purchased direct from Bosch another pair which were/are better in clearing the water but make a 'thud' type noise as they change direction which get on my nerves after a few miles.
I have my try Halfords as they wiper units although expensive have a guarantee.
P.S. the windscreen was replaced in June.
    Advise please.
    Best regards.

That actually sounds as though it is a linkage or motor issue.
Can you lift the wiper by hand and wiggle the arm?
No not you arm, the wiper!

Hi 'equiprx', no wrong on both counts, its the wiper blades.
Yes I'm getting on in years but I can still 'lift the wiper by HAND and WIGGLE the arm'.
Big problem over here is with 'copy' products, which means your never sure what your buying.
Thanks for your response, enjoy your day.
    Regards.

I checked mine the day before going to Devon in August, they were both split so I was in a hurry to get some. Ended up at Screwfix, £5.99 each and I can honestly say they are fantastic. No smears, no noise and no thudding like the wipers they replaced.

I swear by Bosch originals (SP22/19S 2-blade set with spoiler). Just going to renew in time for my MoT later this month. £22 well spent in my opinion. Last renewed 18 months and 10k miles ago.

Might the 'thud' be that they are too stiff when they switch direction? Maybe it's an inferior quality of blade material. Perhaps you were unlucky and bought from a 'bad batch'. I find that mine operate as smooth as silk.

Hope you get it sorted Richard
