    You can make one from some stiff wire and use the fill up hole by taking the fill plug out the level should be right up to the hole

    That's roughly right but maybe following the official procedure would be wiser.

    It's in the Stickies (I hope!) and is quite exacting. (Note the temperature, the gear changes, etc.)

    Thank you, so my car is a S-TYPE 2, right? Not the first one, so the torque converter is concerned? Or you think not with experience? Maybe is that but why when engine hot have nor more problem? I don't know who's causes the problem but now i'm going to see at first the oil transimission level.

    Hard to know precisely if transmission have the good level on this transmission... But when all gear is good i think the level is good to... Mmmmmh... I give you a picture of my car when you want, not for resolve the problem, just for community. Haven't original rim... like or not, maybe to extraordinary for a jaguar but i have buy like this. Is black and very bright!

    Hi

    Do you have a code scanner?
    It would help you a lot when working and diagnosing faults.

    If you are only interested in the engine and gearbox you could use an elm327 with a program. If you want to read all the modules then an icarsoft i930 or jlr could be a good option for you.

    I speak better english i think, the same level of german... I speak french normaly.

    Ok i can looking for that but i haven't check engine warning light, so i can found a fault without engine light?
