I made a decision. At first: a big service on my transmission. Fluid, filter and solenoids.

Ducmon can you help me and say what's the right pack?
    This one:

    Or this:
    https://www.thectsc.com/products/sol...ft-36-115.html

Solenoids look easy to remove in the video, that's not a problem. A other part you thing i need to change? I see in the video TCM connector? What is it?

Hi there will be a number on your gearbox which will tell you which kit to use if you look at the picture on the solenoid kit it shows you where to look.

Jim: now the problem come at 5th gear too. Is it possible that it's getting worse? Just whit the wrong fluid? But when engine hot it's better and at the 5th come no more.

At first i change the fluid, so i'm sure. And if problem come, i look the intake butterfly, that's maybe bad.

    Hello xpape.

Sorry I didn't reply, I've been busy round the house for a couple of days.

Well it's possible you didn't notice it in 5th gear before, but I'm not surprised.

Now... We were trying to save you some money!

Did you identify the kit of parts? That is the sump (the filter and new gasket are part of the sump), new sump bolts, Mechatronix Connector Sleeve Seal and Mechatronix Adapter (rectangular) Seal?

This kit is from a supplier in Hochstadt Germany:
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Z...f/153315630462

Contact them through eBay if you have an account.

This might be the way: https://contact.ebay.at/ws/eBayISAPI...www_aleks24_de

They probably also have the Mechatronix unit Adapter Seal too.

This one is from a UK supplier: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mechatron...2/183184824801

These tubes are optional, they simply slide out when the Mechatronix unit is dropped down to replace the rectangular Adapter Seal:
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ZF6HP26-6...M/113066004820

And have you found ZF LF6 or Shell M1375.4 fluid?

How much will it cost for all this work?

Thank you Jim, i see this week how much is it. I thing maximum 1000CHF.

I have a friend to help me. He can make this job professionaly. So work isn't too expensive.

I want to change solenoids because if they have a problem too, i need to make a other time the same work.

Do you know if torque converter can be empty with drain plug? My friend say "maybe like ford, they have one". Without that it's difficult all fluid go out.

Have you thought about using one of these solenoid repair kits.

    https://www.sonnax.com/parts/4379-zip-kit

It will be cheaper than buying that set of solenoid from America.

There is a firm that can get all of the oil out of your gearbox but they are a long way from you.

    https://www.fzth.de/produkte/test-sp...te/tim-eckart/.
They also sell all of kits from the last post.

You could send a pm to bluechem and ask him if his company has supplied the equipment to do a complete flush nearer to you.

Thank you, i do not know.

But i thing it's good. More easy buy new solenoids. And if i haven't money to repare a Jaguar, i have to buy a Peugeot hahaha.

I agree to pay up to 1000CHF if it will solve my problem.

I'm now sur it's the transmission and not engine because by idling (0kmh) all ok. And at 100kmh when go Neutral, all ok too. Problem come only when transmission work, is connected.

Thanks for your help, i'm sure i'm going to solve the problem like this.

Just for curiosity, i like your country i'm going 3 time to London and 1 time in Scottland. How much do you earn each month? And at end month do you have no more cash or you can live? Can you go to restaurant every week? (Here i can't go to restaurant all week hahaha if you thing all Swiss is rich) I want to know how you live in England

You do not have to answer, it does not have anything to do with the subject I'm just curious.

I don't live in Britain anymore. I live near Berlin. We are not rich but more importantly we are comfortably well off. We are able to go out as often as we want.

At the moment we are renovating our house which is a listed building because it is the last surviving Prussian village school in this style. We have been slowly sorting it out as there was no investment since the second world war by the town council who we bought it off 8 years ago. It was not used for twenty years.

Last year we had the roof sorted out which took the roofers over 8 weeks to do as they had to replace 500 qm of tiles. I just have to finish the bathroom and then the house is finished.

Then I will be looking for a 1930's car to purchase or maybe a mk120. I am not sure yet but I don't want any modern cars.
