    Its an AGM battery Jim, glass mats support the soft lead plates and for a normal road car is probably over kill, the ca/ca AGM battery types are cheaper and can be bought for less than £130 now with 4 year warranties, which when my original Jaguar (Varta) battery eventually expires I will seriously consider as a replacement/buying.

    Thanks Engineer, yes AGM, just read the data sheet today.

    Definitely worth considering the regular ones for cars which support them.

    Maybe flooded cell batteries will get cheaper too.
