Workshop manual for the early s types.

I have just found a link for the workshop manual for the pre 2002.5 s types on an American forum.

    It includes the 4.0 litre v 8.

    Excellent find, ducmon, well done!

Everyone who has an early S Type or wants a copy should download it now because these things in online storage often lose the privilege.

Would you put this in our Stickies too, so it doesn't get lost please?

    Good news - it covers the x200 (3.0-litre and 4.0-litre) and x202 (2.5-litre, 3.0-litre, 4.2 NA and STR).

Note that it does Not cover the later x204 or x206 models nor the 2.7-litre Diesel.

Those are covered in this Workshop Manual: http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Auto...M-Workshop.pdf

Here's a Service Manual for the Ford 5R55N Automatic Gearbox (Transmission) which is fitted to the X200 (1999-2002) 3.0-litre and 4.0-litre S Types courtesy of Orsom Weels:

Note: the recommended ATF fluid for this gearbox is Ford Mercon V. There are many equivalents in the UK and Europe. You shouldn't pay more than £5 per litre.
