Anyone good with Part No's? Sheared a driveshaft on the XK Photos

    Morning all, Happy new year.

Not so happy for me, I managed to shear a driveshaft on the XK over the festive period. Was just driving along doing nothing out of the ordinary, pulled away from a stop, normally, not aggressively at all and lost all drive as if it had slipped in to neutral. Tried to engage drive and reverse and had no drive, just revs.

Did a few visual checks at the side of the road and got trailered home. Long story short the O/S shaft sheared along the circlip groove inside the joint at the hub side. I dont know why but the pilot hole in the end of the shaft, that i would assume is used for keeping it true when machining, is drilled as far in as the groove which creates an obvious weak spot where there's less material.

Anyway, I've been on the hunt for replacement shafts....thought i may as well change both and change the diff oil while im in there too. I'm having a bit of bother finding the correct shaft number though. The ones on SNG Barratt dont seem to match my chassis number. When you narrow it down to the XK and to the halfshaft assembly it states from VIN B32753, mine ends in B17967

The part number that comes up for this is C2D42131 which superseded C2Z4812. I also found a few for sale on ebay, genuine new parts, but they are listed to fit the XJ, XF & XK. Can anyone tell me if all of these use the same shafts when paired with the 4.2 or 5.0 engines? I just want to be sure that what I order is going to fit!

    Also some photos....

So Barratts have given me part numbers based on my VIN...
