Duty free goods are back after 20 years if you travel to EU countries. Save over 10 quid on a bottle of spirits.

A study conducted in Belgium last year estimated 1.2 million people will be made unemployed in Europe when there would have not been a free trade agreement.

This figure is most probably no longer valid due to convid 19.

However this study has different results

It indicates that the worst effected country would be Germany rather than Britain

So just imagine, what if this were a real conflict, which our side had democratically initiated, ( which is actually the truth behind Brexit for whatever reasons) If our side were to accept 75000 deaths and the other 100000, would that mean we were justified? (forgetting the third party consequences)

I don't quite see where deaths come into Brexit all of a sudden.

Your posting an unrecognisable and unrealistic analogy about which it would be pure fantasy to understand let alone theorise

Of course you don't, but you do like the idea of British warships chasing our French compatriots

    I think you're getting confused.

Firstly, by definition the French are not our compatriots.

Secondly, if foreign trawlers are found to be fishing in contravention of International Law - always assuming that they might then be which I guess is the context of a previous post of mine to which I assume you are referring - then how else would you expect any Country to police it's territorial waters?

Ok, then if we just ignore the last 45 years of compatriotism, then by your own definition, your next door neighbour is not your compatriot either, therefore, we should just be ourselves as individuals, with no states to control us.

    This should help you ...

Definition of compatriot ... "a fellow citizen or national of a Country".

And, by the way, it's not my definition, you can look it up yourself in any dictionary.

and for 45 years, up until 31 December 2020 the French were, and have been our compatriots, or have I missed something?
