If the driver in question was driving, without a seatbelt,on roads to which the public do not have access I fail to see any problem.

However,if this was on the public highway, then the correct action has been taken.

I was part of an armed detail on duty guarding the queen and her entourage on one of her visits to Kent. I was walking round the building at about 0200 on a gravel pathway when an upper window was opened and the duke leaned out and asked what I was doing.
I replied, "Guarding the queen, sir."
He replied, "I'll guard the ****** queen, now bugger off."

It's for his own good but I doubt he'll change at his age since he hasn't until now.

    They've tried.

    And he's always been trying.

He certainly comes across as an arrogant and ill mannered old fart.

To me the sad bit about this indecent is, that it will increase calls by the Nanny State for ever more restrictions on older drivers who are not causing a problem.

    It's great, isn't it?

That is the best bit about him as far as I am concerned, as it makes him that bit funnier

Not really, certainly not to me.

It may be OK in a TV comedy and it adds to the Royal soap opera........ but for ordinary people around them and who have to put up with it everyday, I doubt that it is amusing.

Having looked at their disfunctional family I would like to see both him and Lizzie charged with "Breeding without due care and attention".

The first thing the establishment did was reduce the speed limit on that stretch of road.

The inference from this was that the innocent motorist was speeding!

Secondly, the sycophantic BBC allow the Royal spokesman to claim the Duke is "fiercely independent" whereas fiercely arrogant would have been a better description.

And why haven't the Police charged him? Two innocent ladies and a child could have been killed.

Read a bit of Orwell Chris "Some animals are more equal than others".

In reality the whole lot of them are untouchable, a fine means nothing - with unlimited wealth, community service "litter picking" - not likely, ban from driving - we then provide AND PAY FOR a toady to drive them around.

Only worry about things that you might change would be my advice.
