    rear sunblinds retro fit

I have got a set of the rear sun blinds for my XJR and I have just been out to start to fit them but... There are 3 hooks that go a round the window frame and these are screwed into place but all I seem to have are taped over holes in the window frame with nothing for the screw to screw into. Any ideas what should be there as I don't see anything in the parts manual. Although that could just be because that part is hidden in a random place you would never consider looking in. I will have another look tomorrow when it is less dark and wet. Thanks

    Just a guess.

But are they the type of hole that a plastic fixing goes in the then allows the screw to bite/screw into.

A pic of what you have and need to attach in the area might help.

If you've bought the proper Jaguar assembly, it doesn't have any window hooks - the sunscreen rises out of a slot in the rear parcel shelf.

Yes there are hooks which screw into the frame, you need the plastic inserts.
I did this retrofit many years ago. You will need some rivnuts installing too.

Thank you Alec that is what I need. I just have to find them now!

Glen just keep an eye out on ebay. The ones I found randomly appeared at the bottom of the screen while I was wasting my life on ebay!

Just make sure they are the SWB version for a SWB car

I luckily managed to find the invoice from 2014, the part no for the plastic insert is: C2C12743

Yep, that’s the way of it, that’s how I got my rear electric blind, but would love the door ones instead of the adamesh ones I have at the mo.

Bugger just deleted my reply by pressing the wrong button!. Any way thanks for the part number. I have ordered some that I think will fit but if they don't I can get the proper parts. Oh I see the black window trim is still available. Mine are in a horrible state but to buy all 4 would be close to £400!
