    "The Aftermath"

Starring my favourite bit of thinking man's crumpet, Keira Knightley!

Set in Hamburg 7 months after WW2 where the British forces were struggling to maintain order.

Apparently, the Allies dropped more bombs on Hamburg in one weekend than the Germans managed to drop on London throughout the whole war!

The usual love triangle with some graphic effects but still very enjoyable, none the less.

Some clever touches, too. All the German houses that the British entered had a stain on the wall where a picture had hung. They all claimed it was a family painting or landscape that had got damaged. It was actually where they'd hung their picture of Hitler.

Nice touch that made the film more believable.

Sounds worth a watch. I love a bit of modern history.

I'm not sure that the "thinking man" proviso is strictly necessary.
