    Jaguar illumination switch

    Morning all

After a bit of help please and I have checked the manual but cant even find any mention of the illumination I am on about

Smack bang in the middle of the front, against the windscreen (on the inside) there is a sensor and underneath that sensor is the Jaguar logo. Can anyone tell me where the switch is or how do I get it to light especially when it is dark.

At the moment it only comes on when the ignition is turned off then it goes off after a few seconds

    Thanks in advance

Not knowing the XF but from the wiring diagrams the sensor looks like the Sun Light sensor and the lamp is the PAT's indicator lamp so there would not be a switch for that. I might be wrong and assume someone will be along shortly to correct me.

    Thanks Roger.

The logo has nothing to do with the sensor I guess it is just located underneath it.

I did have a courtesy car a few moths back and the light was on at night so I know they are meant to be on but I am at a loss as how to get it to illuminate.

Mine just comes when you unlock the doors, so I presume its wired in with the courtesy lights.

Mine too is just with the courtesy light. I'm not sure I'd want it lit whilst driving in any case.

hmmm.. mine lights up at night. A subtle blue colour, the same as the ambient lighting.

I don't know how to turn it off or on though.
