My 04 XK8 4.2 N/A has started to have the "Low Coolant" warning appear. I had replaced the coolant in January 2019 and all things were fine. I have found a coolant leakage near the rear of the engine on the right hand side. Heater tubes look fine at the firewall. The leak does not start until the temp reaches normal operating temp. It appears from just above the starter near the exhaust/converter from the back side of the block. Unable to see clearly where it is coming from. Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

Andy, thanks for your info. I must have FAT Fingered when typing; my car is a Xj8. I will be trying to isolate more today. Not sure if the leak is coming from the line or the block fitting.

Fine but you have an X350 XJ not an X308 which was only fitted with the 3.2/4.0 V8.

That said the fault will be the same; you have valley pipe failure, get it swapped asap before you lose all your coolant! Think yourself lucky you have an 8 not and R as they have to remove the supercharger.

Removed the Intake Manifold and found the valley hose... Limited space to see the firewall and the back side of the block, makes inspection almost impossible. Have a digital scope and still could not see much. Thanks for the response. Waiting on parts right now; should be here tomorrow.
