    Swb/lwb

I’m after a set of lambs wool matts for my SWB 358. Can any body tell me if there’s a difference between long and short wheel base matts i e different lengths ? Thanks and enjoy your day.

I've just looked on eBay and all the ones for sale look to be the same, no mention of lwb/swb.

Even if they are different it would be only the length of the rear ones and the extra length would tuck under the front seat.

    Hi Ned,

The front mats are the same LWB/SWB.

But the rear mats are different. The LWB rear mats are longer than the SWB ones.

Thanks Chris, is it just the case of tucking under the front seat for the rears or is there trimming involved? .

The rear mats have a narrow section that sits under the seat, then the main body of the mat is wider (where you rest your feet). The extra length is in the wider part of the mat, so you cannot tuck the spare under the seat.

They do make SWB lambswool mats, I had a set for my SWB X350 Super V8. I'd stick out for a set in the right size, as trimming would not be easy.

On the other hand... you can always make your own?.... Rich did that in his and I think they look marvellous! He bought genuine sheepskin mats from Dunelms and trimmed them to size.

    See here:

The back of the real sheepskins is a sheet of leather, so you just trim it to size using a Stanley knife. The pile on these is even thicker than the Jaguar ones. I am not sure if it is still the same on the X350/X358, but Jaguar X308 lambswool mats were not real sheepskin.
