    Trouble.

It seems as though I've done my annual party trick (again). I am reliably informed that it's our wedding anniversary today 59 years..........and I'd forgotten
She has definitely got the hump (she's not happy). Her vocabulary knows no bounds (especially when she's in 'verbal abuse' mode) .
The volatile silence is deafening, the last words she uttered "and it's my birthday on Thursday, you'd better not forget that you bar steward".
So I've been across to the newsagents and bought her a birthday card (90p), that should do the trick.
I paid 7/6p for her in 1960 (marriage licence), she's never satisfied.

I never got the £10 my mate bet against my present wife ever going out with me. I only chatted her up to get a pay out.

That £10 is probably worth gazillions now.

After 59 years of abuse, she should be grateful to you for coping with 'er!

If you are really lucky, she may think that they were in place earlier and she just did not see em....

Just think about how much the desire to win a tenner has cost you

Flowers ?? Flowers ??? I have never in 59 years of wedded bliss bought her flowers, never, not once.

If she doesn't make my evening meal she's going to be listed on Fleabay.

Nah, she'll get the card I've bought for her .on Thursday morning and all will be well.

We've actually been together 63 years, we were still at school when I graciously decided to 'give her a chance'

    I'll bet good money that the reality in the Victor household is more like;

    Yes dear
    Of course my dear
How many rubbish bags would you like me to fill,my dear?
    Of course I love you,my dear,I married you,did I not?
I'll just go cut the grass and weed the borders for you,my dear
Would you like me to do the shopping for you,my dear?
