    My 1st Jaguar MK10-MK10 derivative or perhaps a MK 2 / S-type.

    Hi Folks,

First day on the forum, in fact any forum for that matter.

Having reached the ripe old age of buying a car I want and not a car i need, I am looking at classic jaguars to fit the bill.

Being a big chap (c25st) I wondered if a MK 2 may be a little snug for one with a fuller figure and that perhaps a MK10, 420/420G would better suit.

Happy to take any guidance in purchasing, what to walk away from, and things to consider.

    Many thanks in advance

    John

Size-wise, the only way you can tell "if you will fit" is to go and sit in one. No one else can offer any advice on that!

Otherwise, whether Mk 2 or Mk 10, the things to look for are all the same: rust!
