A week on from picking up my Facelift XE HSE P250

Picked up my new XE HSE P250 a week ago now. Caseaum Blue, with black pack, sunroof and power boot.

Absoloutly love it so far. I loved my old XF but this is a massive step up in performance, technology and sheer quality. Had a weekend away in Marlow so had the chance to drive it up there and loved every mile.

The facelifted body is very sporty, mine is the first in the area to be delivered apparently. The interior too is stunning, looks very up market and quality. The technology is amazing, but still getting my head round it still to be honest. I work in Tech but imagine someone older buying this car, with limited knowledge of Computers, would struggle...

    First impressions :

The power is very smooth and immediate, lovely throaty roar when you accelerate, and I have only been using Comfort mode so far

Suspension and steering is so precise, hardly any body roll even at speed

Still getting comfortable with the gear shift, same as the F Type one now, I used the old rotary knob without thinking so this is just a while to get used to new one, I will get there.

So quiet inside the car, my wife said the horn sounded quiet, so I wound down the windows and did it again and its very loud then.... insulation is excellent, hardly any road noise even on the motorway.

This car takes the XE to a new level in my opinion, and I would take this over the rival BMW 3 series every time...

    Love it !!

You can charge the car wirelessly nowadays? I didn't know that was a thing!

You know, I decided against that, as constantly putting the phone in that recess under the dash would inevitably end up scratching the surface... so I have just been charging it up quite happily via USB under the armrest...

That's a great colour. Nice to see Jaguar didn't mess too much with the exterior styling for the 2019 MY. Looks great.
2017 XE Portfolio 180PS AWD in Santorini Black with climate pack (I don't scrape!) panoramic roof, privacy glass and 19" style 1015 wheels (that I'd happily swap for a nice set of 18" 5 spokes. Anyone?)
