    Thanks Simon & Colin.

Generally happy with the respray work, especially considering how bad the chips & dents were before. I will be taking it back for futher flatting/polishing though, which to be fair, the bodyshop guy did say might need doing.

Speaking with JimC64 earlier, he wanted to know what I thought of the car. Generally, my first impressions still remain the same. It is a bit of a funny car, compared to the luxury barges I am used to. I think the best way to think of it is a supercar in a BMW body, meaning that there are flawed areas- such as gearbox & mpg/costs to make it a poor daily driver, however, when properly driven, nothing else at this price point comes close to the driving experience.

Jeremy Clarkson summed it up very well in his review of the M6's sister, the M5:
Super V8, X358 Facelift + Portfolio Vents + Wald Spoiler, Black Cherry with Ivory/Charcoal leather + Black SuedeCloth Headliner, Rear Entertainment, Picnic Trays and Split Rear Reclining Seats. 200 Cell Cats, 2.5 SS Custom X-Pipe Exhaust, JagDroid Headunit, Arden Sportlines with 295 rear tyres - 116,000 miles, 12.89 @ 107.2mph

BMW M6 Coupe V10, Saphire Black on Black Merino Leather, Alcantara Headliner- 26,000 miles

    Ex. XJ X350 3.0 Silver/Dove

It's a hard life you have Alec...

Getting up every morning and having to make the decision to take the V8 or the V10

Looks like she's coming along a treat.

    Good catching up earlier

Speaking from my slightly lower perch, I solved the issue (V8 XK or V6 XJ) by having designated days - Tuesday and Friday for the XK, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday for the XJ. With weekend driving decided by how many seats are needed!
