Page 314 on mine - I went out and checked!

But they REALLY do mean 'immediately'. Took me three goes to get it right, then I could repeat it every time.

    1. Make sure the vehicle's ignition is switched off.
    2. Switch the vehicle's ignition on and then off again.
    3. Immediately press the wash/wipe control to its lowest position, as if to command a single wipe. Hold this position while switching on the vehicle's ignition again. The wipers move to the service position. See WIPER OPERATION.
    4. When the new parts have been fitted, switch the vehicle's ignition off. The wipers return to the park position

Just for information purposes, I tried this on the S type Didn't work. Maybe a feature on newer models.

This also sets the tailgate wiper into the service position on the X260 Estate. I didn't notice until I went back to use the car this afternoon.

press the menu button on the wheel. On the left side arm/indicator press in the end til the central dash screen opens menu, on one of the settings you have an option of wiper arm winter park. and the wipers will stop about 6 inches from the bottom.. Hope this helps.
