    Wheel Nuts

So why did Jaguar go to the rounded nut and socket to replace the winged nut on the older cars?
Was it a security issue with people stealing wheels?

    Hello Jim,

I seem to remember it was changed on the grounds of safety? Eared spinners being considered to be a danger to pedestrians?

It was in response to US legislation which decided that the earlier type might injure pedestrians!
    Luckily they are interchangable
