    oh la la.

Xavier here from France. I have lived in the UK for the best part of the last 20 years; just come back to France a year ago and that meant selling my XF 3.0d with a heavy heart.

I am on the lookout for a fun car and hope to be buying a an XK/XKR cab in the next year.

here to try and glean info to facilitate this impending mid-life crisis.

    Welcome Xavier!

Any midlife crisis including an XK is a good crisis

Which XK are you looking at; X100 or X150?

    Welcome to the Forum Xavier!
I have had my XK for five years now. Totally trouble free thus far, having only needed one indicator bulb and one brake light bulb, at a total cost of £16. I will need new tyres soon, but can’t blame it for that!
    I do really love it.

Thank you chaps for the welcome.

The x150 is my favourite shape. I drove a 2004 db9 from Reading to Mayfair and an 08 xkr 4.2 coupe from Mayfair on the way back.

The jag was an infinitely more engaging and connected drive.
I haven't yet sat in a ragtop, but I hear they are not too far behind the tin top in terms of composure and rigidity.
