    Catalytic Converters

So the catalytic converters on my 2007 XKr have failed (indy jag dealer confirmed). I need replacements but not liking original Jag catalytic converter prices. I see replacement aftermarket ones for older XKR model but not for this one. Does anyone know any different and had them replaced at a reasonable price. Ideally im after somewhere that can supply and fit or at least have experience on getting them replaced with either universal or an aftermarket one specifically for this car. Close(ish) to East Berks also would be good. Many thanks..Steve.

Seems odd they would both fail at the same time.

Was always told if a cat fails on a car with two then replace both, only exception being if holed by road debris.

So actually great that just the one, but just looked on ebay and even used they are close to £500 a side

I'd be ringing a few (non-chain) exhaust places and see what they can do, after all it's just gotta pass MOT and not catch alight!

I paid some local monkeys almost £1,000 to replace a cat after my S-type 2.7D started running like a washing machine. Whether it had gone or not I don't know but the actual problem was misfuelling. They didn't spot that...

I had a pair of sports cats, terraclean and remap for just under £2k about a year ago. But before that to get though the MOT I just cleared the codes the day before, they didn't come back for a few days. MOT emissions limit is a lot higher than the Jag ECU
